In the program's user interface each list of songs is called a "book". When this program is not registered it doesn't allow you to append the files you import. However, after registering, you should be able to append and even filter duplicate songs. First thing you need to do when starting the program is import your songs. You can choose a folder to import from. The application recursively scans the selected folder and all of its sub-directories for music files. The list of files that couldn't be imported is displayed in a dialog. I tried importing about 800 random music files from my hard disk, but 264 files couldn't be processed. The problem is that the program only supports filenames which are formatted using one of the name conventions (Title - Artist, DiscID - Title - Artist, Artist - Title DiscID, and so on). However, you can also choose to import MP3 files by reading their ID3 tags. After the list of files is complete, you can click the "Generate Book" button, in order to create the pages for printing. You can choose the font, the number of columns per page, and the page format which is to be used when printing. The printed list of files looks pretty nice, and as I said, it is fully customizable. Pluses: You can filter the song list using a word or phrase. However, you should be careful when you filter the list, because the songs will be permanently removed. You may need to re-import the whole collection to find the audio files you filtered. It's also possible to export the song list using the CSV or XLS format. The biggest drawback of this application is, in my opinion, the fact that you can't remove files from the song list. The only way to remove files is to use the filter feature, and remove them individually. Drawbacks / flaws: The program is only able to import files that are named using the supported formats. If your filename is not formatted, the program won't be able to import it successfully. If filenames contain track numbers ("track 01", "track 02", etc.), you won't be able to import them. When I tried to generate a XML listing of my favourite files, I saw that the XML file that the program exported was not usable. If you are an advanced user you have many options which you can configure. You can customize everything this software does, from tag to font auto replacement in the user interface, from templates used when creating a playlist to confirmations on each action. However, there is a quick options dialog available, for those who don't have the time or experience to configure this program.
